About me
I've spent my career close to how businesses actually move things around the world. I started at Morgan Stanley, was Manging Director at lastminute.com, and led Uber's business across EMEA. Then I co-founded Beacon.
I've had a front row seat in the industry for years, and the people running supply chains are some of the sharpest operators I've met, working with tools that were never built to talk to each other.
A container is running late. Is that a problem? It depends who owns it, what it's carrying, what the delay costs, and whether that lane has been slipping for months. Most teams can't answer vital questions quickly. Not because they aren't good at their jobs, but because the answers sit across carrier portals, spreadsheets and a few people's heads.
So the delay gets spotted late, the pattern gets missed, and the cost turns up weeks later.
The problem isn't the people. It's that the systems underneath them never caught up. That's what we're fixing at Beacon. The data exists, the technology exists, and teams can proactively make data led decisions.
